Symposium: Evaluating Innovations in Training Assessment
and Occupational Modeling Technologies
Abstract
A variety of new approaches have been developed in recent years
for evaluating training and occupational modeling, particularly in terms
of occupational specifications and training requirements. Several of these
innovative approaches have now been validated and are available for operational
use. Others are still in the process of development or validation. Many
of these new approaches make use of computer-assisted advanced data collection
technologies, and are part of the general process of upgrading occupational
and training evaluation data bases. Several of these studies are part of
a broader technology development R&D effort aimed at enhancing and
expediting collection of occupational-specific data needed for improved
decision making and revision of operational military manpower, personnel,
and training systems.
