POSITION:

Occupational Analyst / Technical Writer (June 1995 - Present) - Institute for Job and Occupational Analysis. Develops and administers computer-based training evaluation and performance measurement survey instruments using the Air Force Survey Authoring System (AFSAS) and other survey authoring software. Uploads and formats survey data for SPSS, or other analysis packages, analyzes survey data and prepares survey reports and presentation materials. Currently conducting several computer-based survey projects, including custom surveys for the Air Force Security Forces, the Kelly AFB Transition Office and the Air Force Basic Military Training. Writes and edits technical documents, including program handbooks, user guides and help screens. Serves as the quality assurance monitor and worldwide point of contact for the AFSAS software.

EDUCATION:

Master of Science Degree in Experimental Psychology in progress at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Expected completion date is December 2001.

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, December 1994, The University of Texas at San Antonio. Overall GPA: 3.91. Dean's List every semester. Extensive course work in psychological testing and measurement.

Oct 1984-Jun 1988 – Director of Human Resources, Geis-Geis Contractors, Checkers Restaurant, Hillside Manor Nursing Home, San Antonio, Texas.  Human Resource Generalist for these three jointly owned businesses (300+ employees). Developed successful pre-employment testing program.

Jan 1972-Jul 1984 - Unit Supervisor, Texas Department of Human Resources, San Antonio, Texas.  Managed an office of public assistance caseworkers and support staff.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND INTERESTS:

Actively involved with computer technology since the late 1970's. Proficient in most current software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, WordPerfect, SPSS and several spreadsheet applications.

Part-time reporter and weekly columnist for The San Antonio Light from 1986 to 1993. Writes a monthly suspension engineering column for Short Track Technology Magazine.

Engineering consultant to several motorsports teams. Conducts well-attended suspension engineering seminars. Served as the Director of Competition at San Antonio Speedway from 1992 through 1995 and as a technical consultant to the Texas International Drivers Association from 1989 through 1997.
